Hungary has technologies that are needed in Sudan’s economy, which is currently trying to rise to more than one feet.

The politically stable Sudan is not affected by the South Sudan events, and they want to avoid the southern part’s, which became independent five years ago, political and economical tensions making their way into the country. However, Sudan lost the majority of its oil incomes with the detachment. They now want to rise to more than one feet economically and this could be a great opportunity for Hungarian companies. “There are some key sectors, in which the Sudanese government is planning to start production. These need new technologies and modernisation. I think that these are the technologies, which are accessible in Hungary” said Péter Orosz, the network development director of the Hungarian Trade & Cultural Centre (HTCC) after his negotiations in Sudan.
